Package management in DooUMS encompasses all operations performed on existing packages after their initial creation. This includes modifications, lifecycle management, and administrative maintenance to ensure packages remain current and effective.

Viewing Package Details

Read-Only Package View

  • Access: Click View from the Actions menu
  • Function: Display complete package information without editing capabilities
  • Use Cases:
    • Reference package details during customer inquiries
    • Verify package information before modifications
    • Share package details with team members
  • Information Displayed: All package components, pricing, capacity, and settings

Editing Existing Packages

When to Edit Packages

  • Price Adjustments: Market conditions or cost changes require pricing updates
  • Capacity Modifications: Room availability changes or hotel capacity adjustments
  • Date Changes: Flight or accommodation date modifications
  • Hotel Updates: Changes to Makkah or Madinah accommodations
  • Service Additions: Adding new components or services to existing packages

Edit Process

  1. Access: Click Edit from the Actions menu
  2. Modify: Update any package field as needed
  3. Validation: System validates changes against existing bookings
  4. Confirmation: Review all changes before saving
  5. Impact Assessment: System alerts if changes affect existing bookings
Editing Precautions

Always verify that no active bookings will be negatively impacted before making significant changes to dates, hotels, or pricing.

Cloning Process

  1. Find the package you want to clone
  2. Select Clone from the Actions menu

  6. Activation: Activate when ready for booking

Package Archiving

Why Archive Packages

Archiving Process

  1. Find the package you want to archive
  2. Select Archive from the Actions menu
  3. Data Preservation: All package and booking data maintained
  4. Visibility Change: Removed from active package listings
  5. Access: Available through "Archived Packages" section
  6. Restoration: Can be reactivated if needed

Package Deletion

Deletion Criteria

  • No Bookings: Packages with zero booking records

Deletion Process

  1. Verification: Confirm package has no associated bookings
  2. Permission Check: Ensure user has deletion privileges
  3. Confirmation: System requires deletion confirmation
  4. Permanent Removal: Package data completely removed from system
